If you get a chance to see it in the early evening the lights illuminating the tower and palace are very atmospheric too. Including some of Westminster bridge and some of the wall on Queens Walk adds extra depth to put you right in the spot I sketched this.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThis has become one of my most popular London designs. I think the simple use of blues and oranges along with the sentiment people have for Big Ben at night really make this work as a painting. I imagine the wildlife appreciates the magic of the bridge too.. well the three birds on the fence here do 🙂\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI use a lot of line work in my paintings, so the challenge was keeping the picture light while still conveying its night-time and also maintain contrast with the bridge lights, so they still appear bright.
