Legend says Guy Fawkes planned to watch the destruction of parliament from this spot.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eDrawn with a Palomino pencil and finished with digital water colour to add a little depth. The real beauty to be found in sketched images is the room they leave for interpretation, the unfinished lines and left white spaces allow you to complete the image in your mind which give such satisfaction when viewing it. I hand-drew this with a Palomino pencil and finished with digital water colour to add a little depth. I also love the font they have on the bridge, which was a joy to recreate, there is something very satisfying about drawing typography like this.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis painting was created from a sketch I made standing on Chalk Farm Road. It's a busy road which could have ended up as a busy scene but I decided to keep it simple, focusing solely the bridge. When I went to sketch this it was a grey autumn day (very muddy) so I used some of my artistic license, painting it on a warm sunny day with a generous covering of rich green grass. The bench shown is a favourite spot for people to stop and take in the beautiful view, in fact you’re lucky if you get there and it's free. You can see London Zoo, the BT Tower, St Pauls the London Eye and many more landmarks from across the city.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eI remember watching new years fireworks from this spot one year and wanted to capture the morning view across the city. Autumn seemed the perfect time of year to paint for a sunrise, so all the seasons' warm colours of the trees can work against the cool morning sky and the crisp greens of the park's grass. The challenge of this piece was to harmonise the grass, trees and clouds with the strong colours you find in a sunrise without them becoming overpowering. I mixed into each part of the picture a little of the blues, reds and yellows to spread the colours. My aim was to capture the majesty of a glorious sunrise while keeping a relaxing overall image. Its a much loved local store and has a name that must make other bookshops jealous 🙂\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI painted this with a bit of some summer sun. The area of Primrose Hill is a great spot to visit and stroll in the nearby park and sample the local coffee and cake shops too! If you do make it to this part of London, be sure to walk right to the top of Primrose Hill for a great view of the city!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI added a few pigeons, some sparrows and a sleeping cat. The lady leaving the Primrose Hill Bookshop has just bought a book that's so good she has already started reading it on her way out.
