The Electric Cinema, Notting Hill, Portobello Road, London Print
The Electric Cinema, Notting Hill, Portobello Road, London Print
A print of my illustration of The Electric Cinema in Notting Hill, London.
This is one of the oldest working cinemas in Britain which originally opened in February 1910.
You can find this historic cinema on Portobello road and its a must visit local attraction if you can with a gorgeous interior that takes you back in time to the heyday of theatres.
I wanted to paint this in an early evening light of summer, the time most associate with going into cinemas for an evening of hopefully satisfying entertainment.
When visiting the cinema for reference I noticed a few pigeons hanging out on the roof so added those too 🙂
** Please note, this print comes unframed **
Designed in my London studio and handmade in England
