Hyde Park Italian gardens London painted by Mike Green Illustration

2024 Artistic Work (part 2)

Here are the paintings I completed in the second half of 2024.

Crystal Palace Dinosaurs

A fun challenge to draw the Victorian dinosaur statues in Crystal Palace park. I tried to make them look a little more friendly than terrifying lizards.

The Notting Hill Bookshop

Beautiful shop fronts are always a joy to illustrate, and this one though small has a really nice traditional exterior. If you ever get the chance to visit the interior is super cosy too. I may be a little biased as I have a few of my cards on their shelf 😊

Autumn Skate in Notting Hill

An Autumn version of my popular spring skate version. I really should get back into skating once the weather dries up, and its not too cold… or windy. Excuses excuses!

Electric Cinema Notting Hill

Looking for other cultural spots in Notting Hill, this is the oldest cinemas in Britain, opening its doors on the 27th February 1911.

Italian Gardens Hyde Park

These gardens are a great place to relax in the spring or summer, on the north side of the park. I wanted to recreate some summer warmth to help get though these gloomy winter days.

Thames View from Waterloo Bridge

The third Thames view I’ve painted, this one looking towards St Pauls and the city with some added Mediterranean green in the water. Good enough for a swim!
