Tower Bridge London Landmark Art Print

A print of my Tower Bridge London illustration. A colourful print of this famous London landmark on the Thames. The perfect bridge themed gift, souvenir or memento!

This was painted as part of my London Landmarks design, and created with my aim of finding a simple colourful way to represent this icon. Simplifying a representation is not as easy as just reproducing it and requires figuring out which parts, shapes and proportions make the bridge unique to its form. Trying to work out visually what makes Tower Bridge Tower Bridge. To do this I focused on the silhouette of the bridge as seen from the middle of the Thames, the shape of the roofs and towers and of course the bascule bridge in its open state. If you ever visit Tower Bridge you can find the bridge lift times on the official website, its worth timing your trip to see it in action. Even if you don't pay to go into the bridge Museum there is a shop on the south bank of the Thames next to the bridge that is free to pop into. I might be biased as they stock some of my prints 🙂
