A greetings card with my painting of an Autumn skate in London's Notting Hill. Skating through golden leaves in the fall light.
This is an Autumn version of my 'Springtime Skate in Notting Hill' painting featuring the same corner on Notting Hill's Stanley Crescent. Here, instead of trees full of pink blossom, its covered in red, orange, copper and burgundy leaves. I kept the same blue birds for extra continuity, which helps this work well when paired with the spring version. The lady and her Scottish Terrier are heading in the opposite direction in this Autumn version which helps reinforce the change of season and weather.
If you want to visit this spot in Notting Hill, its on Stanley Crescent, a favourite spot for instagramers when the blossom is out.
