A card with my sketch from the top of Parliament Hill on Hampstead Heath. 

I sketched this from the top of the hill where you get an amazing view of London's skyline. Legend says Guy Fawkes planned to watch the destruction of parliament from this spot.

Drawn with a Palomino pencil and finished with digital water colour to add a little depth. The real beauty to be found in sketched images is the room they leave for interpretation, the unfinished lines and left white spaces allow you to complete the image in your mind which give such satisfaction when viewing it. I find natural scenes such as this really suit this medium, helping to capture the wild non uniform texture of trees and bushes.
