Notting Hill Houses London Art Print

A print of my illustration of some of the very colourful houses in London’s Notting Hill. These often instagrammed houses are on Lancaster road, just round the corner from the famous Portobello market. They stretch for quite a bit of the street so I had to choose the ones with the most colour and character. I love the mixture of vibrant colours they had, no need to colour coordinate on this street and they really stand out from the classic Notting Hill white houses you see. Walking past these properties really gave me warm summer feelings too, even on an overcast day.

It was enjoyable painting such a distinctive street, adding the details and character that make each house unique such as the different pot plants and railings. Spot the birds and a relaxed looking cat 🙂 A few months after painting this I had so many comments on the cat I decided to make a second picture focusing on the lazy cat which you can see here.

I hope to paint more colourful streets in the future, there are quite a few in London to pick from!
