A signed print of my sketch of East London's Tower Bridge crossing the river Thames from the north bank. I drew this standing just in front of the Tower of London.

Often Tower Bridge is shown from the side, capturing its recognisable bascule silhouette, for this drawing I wanted to show the bridge from a different angle, to capture its scale. Its 65 meter high stone towers are impressive when up close, resting on the two huge piers with the thin walkway suspended between them (now with a glass view through the floor 😬). I layered shading and added the other side of the river with a few lines to give just a suggestion of the south bank, creating a sense of distance looking across the Thames.

I sketched this with a Palomino pencil and finished with some subtle digital water colour to give some depth.
